Blake Lively Is Pregnant With Her and Ryan Reynolds's Third Child
Blake Lively made a true statement at the New York City premiere of her husband Ryan Reynolds's film Detective Pikachu: That she's pregnant with their third child. The Gossip Girl actress debuted her baby bump in metallic yellow Retrofête dress.
She and Reynolds arrived at the theater together, all smiles:
Reynolds and Lively have generally kept their family life very private. The two already have two daughters, four-year-old James Reynolds and two-year-old Inez Reynolds. In 2016, Lively hinted the two wanted a big family, saying in jest, “I’m one of five kids. My husband is one of four, so we’re officially breeders. You can go on our website and we will give you some of our children.”
Around that same time, Lively talked to Marie Claire about how protective she is of her family's privacy. It is "the thing that I feel most protective of and the thing that I feel is the most exposed when I feel exploited," Lively said.
Of the paparazzi attention, she added, "I'd rather not have to deal with it at all, but we knew the lifestyle we were getting into, and while it's hard…it's another thing when it's our child [James]. She didn't have the opportunity to make a decision about what she wants."
She said then that she and Reynolds were striving to give their girls as normal of an upbringing as possible. "Ryan had a nice, normal upbringing, and we want our kids to have the same normal life that we had," Lively said. "We don't ever want to rob them of what we had, because we'd feel really selfish."
