Blake Lively isn’t playing around for her latest return to the spotlight. The star, who’s been making a few (albeit exceptionally rare) appearances here and there over the past several months, is finally back in action, thanks to her latest film project, The Rhythm Section. And you know the drill, right? A jam-packed calendar of movie premieres and press tours means an endless stream of sartorial inspiration.

Lively put on her best made-for-strutting boots for the New York City screening of The Rhythm Section — and by made-for-strutting, we mean a bold pair of $1,197 Christian Louboutin thigh-high lace-up boots with that signature red sole that are an instant confidence booster. You know when you get a fresh haircut and just feel so damn good? Well, we imagine these boots will have that same effect.
Lively wore the daring boots with a velvet off-the-shoulder Dolce & Gabbana gown and a massive Lorraine Schwartz necklace. And while said footwear choice certainly was a bit more unexpected, we’re 100 percent here for it. Lively can do no wrong, after all. Earlier in the day, she wore the same lace-up boots with a printed silk wrap dress. While it’s typical for celebs to make head-to-toe outfit changes during their press rounds, when you find shoes that are as striking as these, there’s really no reason not to wear them all day, right?
