Blake Lively Explains Why Her Marriage to Ryan Reynolds Works Especially in Hollywood
Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively aren’t exactly ones to be shy about their relationship, but it’s quite rare to find a bond of their caliber in Hollywood. The actress once again proved that point on Monday, October 16, while stopping by Good Morning America to promote her new movie, All I See Is You.
“In general, it’s nice to have somebody who understands what you’re doing,” she said of Reynolds supporting her craft. “Especially because our job is so weird. We have to be married to other people, and it’s all so strange. It’s still strange.”
She added to the GMA crew, “It’s never normal, even when we’re both doing it.”
The spouses are thankfully able to leave work on set. “It’s helpful to know that when you’re acting like you’re in a relationship with someone [else], that’s not what’s actually happening,” she mused. “Because I have friends who are married to people who aren’t in the business, and they’re like, “Oh, so you’re not actually making love in that scene?!” And I’m like, “No… definitely not. No. So those elements are helpful.”
Lively elaborated in a recent cover story how she and her husband have managed to steadily grow in their respective careers—despite now having two infant daughters.
