Blake Lively's Nails at the 'Detective Pikachu' Premiere Had a Secret Nod to Ryan Reynolds

Blake Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, had a big night on Thursday evening. The couple hit the red carpet for the premiere of Reynolds' new movie, Pokémon: Detective Pikachu (which looks hilarious based on the trailer, even to someone who's never been into Pokémon like me). But it wasn't just her outfit that had everyone talking. Lively's yellow sequined dress also revealed that the couple is expecting their third child, who will join their daughters James and Ines.

What you may not have noticed in all the baby excitement was the hidden nod to Reynolds that Lively was wearing—on her nails. Along with some excellent ring game, the actress showed her love for her husband's latest role with a manicure featuring a miniature detective Pikachu and Pokéballs. Her manicurist, Elle, showed off her handiwork on Instagram. First Elle wrote, "I love Blake in yellow!" followed by a closer look at "the details"—which she created using Sally Hansen nail polish.

It's adorable, sweet, and probably a hit with the couple's two young daughters, as well. Lively and Reynolds love to publicly joke about and troll each other on Instagram and beyond on topics ranging from birthday messages to their respective movies like Deadpool and The Shallows. But they obviously support each other, and it's honestly refreshing to see a couple have some fun on the red carpet.

Lively is also one of the best in the game at matching her aesthetic to a project. See: all those suits she wore during the promotional tour for A Simple Plan. Not only that, she literally nails all the little details down to her manicures. Again, back at the premiere for A Simple Plan, Lively sprinkled a hidden message about the film in the form of a martini glass on her nails, which was designed by the same nail artist.

As Elle told Glamour at the time, there was actually more to the mani's hidden message. She stuck to one martini accent nail on purpose: "This was all about her one special glass, which made it more symbolic of the movie."

Hidden messages aside, who's feeling a Pikachu-yellow mani right about now?
