Blake Lively’s 2023 Recap Is All About Normalizing Public Pumping & We Can’t Stop Applauding Her

Blake Lively is ending 2023 with a bang, specifically by telling all moms everywhere that you can pump in public and that it should be normalized at this point. (Yes, we’re obsessed too!)
On Dec 30, Lively shared a series of photos of her time at Disney Paris, and how she was pumping breast milk throughout! She shared the photos with the caption reading, “2023 Highlights: pumping at @disneylandparis 🥛 Cheers Remy.”

Now, the photos seemed pretty typical for a Disney trip: selfies in front of the castle, meeting the rats from Ratatouille, riding on rides, and more. However, many noticed the detail that’s making moms everywhere feel seen: she was pumping with her portable breast pump.
Over the years, many people, and many stars, have worked hard to normalize breastfeeding and pumping in public. Lively’s photos are another instance of A-listers showing everyone that pumping in public is normal!
Fans can’t get enough of this pic, by the way! They commented things such as “Love normalizing pumping in public 👏❤️,” “Love seeing pumping normalized! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 get it mama! Happy new year,” and ‘Thank you for pumping in public and helping to make a positive change for the next generation of pumping moms out there!”
And for the people saying, “Why can’t you do it at home?” Did you know it’s important, even recommended to pump regularly to maintain the milk supply? You can delay it a bit by up to an hour, but Disney trips don’t stop the need to pump! And we love that Lively is normalizing this part of motherhood many feel as though they need to shy away from. You’re feeding your babies! Literally no shame here!
Lively and Ryan Reynolds originally met on the set of Green Lantern back in 2010, and by Oct 2011, they started dating. They married less than a year later and welcomed four children named: James, born in Dec 2014, Inez, born in Sept 2016, Betty, born in Oct 2019, and another child they welcomed in Feb 2023, whose name they haven’t publicly disclosed yet.
