Blake Gray has been having a tough day on the links. It's the morning after Ralph Lauren's big fashion-show-slash-dinner-party-slash-blowout-bash on the West Coast, and Gray has been out golfing with friends. "I haven't been playing that well," he tells me over the phone as we chat about the sport's growing popularity with young, stylish guys (more on that later) before segueing into a discussion about Ralph, personal style, and getting starstruck around Sylvester Stallone.

Here, in his own words, the social media superstar—five million followers on Instagram and nearly 10 million on TikTok, but who's counting?—and face of Ralph Lauren fragrances like Ralph's Club and Romance fills us in on what it's like to get dressed up and party in the Ralph Lauren universe.

On growing up wearing Ralph Lauren:
"I've been wearing Ralph my whole life. When I was growing up, I probably had every single pair of khakis in every single color. I also had all the polos in every single color and every day I would mix and match the colors. That was pretty much my wardrobe at school. Ralph has definitely had a huge impact on my style. And the fact that I've been working with them for the past year and a half has just been a dream come true. I mean, working with a brand like Ralph Lauren, I feel like is one of every kid's dreams."

On the Ralph Lauren fashion show in Pasadena:
"Once we arrived, we took a golf cart through all the gardens and stuff at the museum. I just loved the whole vibe of it. It was beautiful; and I thought it was great seeing all the different ages and generations of people that were walking in the show. I mean, they had some little kids that were dressed up in Ralph and just looking great; all the models looked great. I pretty much wanted to buy everything that was on the runway."

On the suit he wore to the show:
"I mean, how can you look bad wearing Ralph? It's really cool because when I do wear suits, it's always Ralph Lauren and I always just feel so good in it. I feel so confident and I never want to take it off. I want to go to bed in it because I just feel great."

On his favorite look from the show:
"There was a three-piece tan suit that was beautiful and, I don't know—it really spoke to me. I loved the beige colors on it and it was just so effortlessly stylish."

On getting dressed up again:
"I'm definitely dressing up a lot more now, since the pandemic. I think style is whatever you want it to be; personally, I love a good suit. I've always loved suits. Who knows? Maybe I'll start wearing a suit by Ralph every day."

On burgers:
"So it was a great night and the dinner was amazing afterwards. I had the Polo burger, which was just phenomenal. One of my favorite burgers. And they were saying that they flew it all the way from New York to the show."

On celebrity:
"I saw Sylvester Stallone [at the show] and I kind freaked out because I grew up watching Rocky Balboa. I didn't get the chance to speak to him, but out of everybody there, I thought that was the coolest person. I was just starstruck by him. Ashton Kutcher was pretty cool, as well."

On golf:
"I started maybe about two years ago. I'm a 12 handicap right now. I'm trying to get it down to scratch, but I love the game. It's really cool to see how popular it's gotten over the past few years. I just find it very relaxing and peaceful, being out here in nature. And it's a very competitive game and it's also super hard, which is my type of sport because you can always just continue to get better at it."
