Blackpink in your area...and outdoing everyone's fashion at the MTV VMAs red carpet. Jennie, Lisa, Rosé, and Jisoo stepped out for the famed American ceremony, at which they are attending and performing for the first time, decked out like the style icons they are. The girls coordinated in all black looks.

Lisa, with blunt bangs, paired a sleeveless crop top with a long necklace and culotte pants. Jisoo was ladylike in a sheer gown, and Jennie went for hot girl vibes in a cutout black crop top and long skirt. Rosé, the sole blonde tonight, was classy in a black turtleneck mini dress. Altogether, they were impeccably dressed.

Lisa is up for Best K-Pop Song for “LALISA” while Blackpink is up for Best Metaverse Performance and Best Group. The girls just released their comeback single “Pink Venom” though, and the VMAs mark the first time they will be performing it—or any of their hit songs—on an American award show.

The girls spoke to Rolling Stone earlier this year about their music creation process ahead of the release of their new album Born Pink, coming out on September 16. Jisoo made it clear how involved the quartet has been in the making of their new tracks.

“We don’t just receive a completed song,” Jisoo said, via Billboard. “We are involved from the beginning, building the blocks, adding this or that feeling, exchanging feedback—and this process of creating makes me feel proud of our music. If we just received pre-made songs, it would feel mechanical. I feel more love for the process, because we say, ‘How about adding this in the lyrics? How about adding this move in the choreography?’”
