Blackpink Legit Just Took My Breath Away on the VMAs Red Carpet
Blackpink JUST arrived on the VMAs red carpet, and to say that they crushed it is truly an understatement. Decked out in matching all-black fits, the South Korean girl group looked incredible and I'm obsessed.
Ever since they were announced as part of the performance lineup for the show on August 15, fans everywhere have been kind of losing their sh*t. I mean, after all, the VMAs would mark the group's U.S. music award show debut *and* the first U.S. performance of their pre-release single, “Pink Venom” (which BTW if you haven't listened to it already, what are you doing?!). And if that wasn't impressive enough, the quartet is the fifth girl group overall to perform at the VMAs along with the likes of TLC, Spice Girls, The Pussycat Dolls, and Fifth Harmony. Casual!
TBH this amaze red carpet appearance is only the beginning of what is sure to be an epic night for Blackpink, as the girl group was nominated for the “Best Metaverse Performance” category for their PUBG Collaboration, and one of its members, Lisa, was nominated as a solo artist for “Best K-Pop” with her debut song “LALISA.” The entire collective has also been nominated for the “Group of the Year” award alongside fellow Korean artists BTS plus Måneskin, City Girls, Foo Fighters, Imagine Dragons, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Silk Sonic. Okay, so the theme here is “always in great company” lol.
We’re nominated for Group of the Year at the 2022 #VMAs!

Anyway!! Can't wait to see these megastars take the stage later tonight, but, in the meantime, I'll just continue to admire their epic 'fits on le red carpet.
