BLACKPINK will return to your area soon.

The K-pop quartet has become the biggest girl group in the world in the six years since their debut, racking up six videos with over a billion views on YouTube. Since their last group comeback, 2020's The Album, Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa have also been taking over the fashion world as ambassadors for the luxury houses Dior, Chanel, Saint Laurent, and Celine, respectively. Rosé and Lisa have also made their solo debuts, with their R and LALISA single albums.

Now, all four members are back working on their next group project. On July 31, YG Entertainment dropped the announcement trailer for BLACKPINK's upcoming album Born Pink, which is soundtracked by an infectious dance beat teasing the vibe of their new release.

Per the video, the group will drop a pre-release single in August and the full project in September, before beginning a world tour in October.

A representative from YG previously confirmed that the members are in the final stages of recording their forthcoming album. They will film the music video for their title track in July, followed by an August release and "the largest-scale world tour in K-pop girl group history" later this year.

"A lot of music that is BLACKPINK-esque has been completed with much effort over a long period of time," the statement reads. "In order to expand BLACKPINK’s emotional connection with fans all over the world, they will set out for the largest-scale world tour in K-pop girl group history until the end of the year along with their comeback. Furthermore, big projects fitting of that status will continuously follow."

The first hints about the group's comeback came out last March, when Jennie revealed the news during an appearance on the Korean variety show The Game Caterers 2.

"BLACKPINK is also making a comeback soon. I don't know if I'm allowed to say this, but since I'm the only one here, I'll just say it. Please look forward to it," she said.

The quartet also confirmed that they were working on their next album in their June Rolling Stone cover story. Jennie told the outlet that the group is preparing for the "next busy two years," while Jisoo added, "I want to come back with music quickly."
