The BLACKPINK revolution is preparing to enter a new era. The South Korean girl group is heading out on a massive tour. The quartet's YG Entertainment company confirmed that Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa would not only be returning with new music in August, but they'll also be hitting the road for a world tour.

Billboard obtained YG's statement announcing that the group will embark on "a continuous large scale-project which will extend through the second half of the year." The release called the forthcoming tour the "largest world tour in the history of a K-pop girl group."

BLACK PINK released their first full-length album entitled THE ALBUM in October 2020 and topped the Billboard 200 chart at No. 2. Seven songs from the album hit the Billboard Hot 100 chart, proving BLACKPINK's massive success and impact.

The K-pop queens made history as the first musical act to reach the 75 million subscriber count on YouTube. The group celebrated the news in a statement obtained by Billboard. "Our BLINKS contributed a lot to this achievement," the group said. "We will continue to bring positivity and great energy through our music videos."

YG Entertainment has not announced BLACKPINK's official tour name or when it will begin, but details should be coming soon as the group's upcoming album is scheduled to be released next month. Check back here for more updates as news drops.
