These Black-owned food brands make some of the most delicious snacks, desserts, wellness supplements, sauces and more.

Yes, it is Black History Month, but buying from and supporting Black-owned businesses is a year-round commitment. You may already have some of these brands in your kitchen! But in case you don’t, make room in your pantry because you’re going to want everything on this list.

You may have seen Partake’s delicious cookies on store shelves, but the brand also sells brownies, baking mixes and its newest product, pancake and waffle mix. According to the brand’s website, Denise Woodward founded Partake in 2016 after her daughter was diagnosed with multiple food allergies. Therefore, all of its products are certified gluten-free, non-GMO, vegan and are free of the top nine allergens (wheat, tree nuts, peanuts, milk, eggs, soy, fish, sesame and shellfish). However, everything does have a lot of flavor! You can’t go wrong with its crunchy chocolate chip cookies or confetti pancake and waffle mix.

Pipsnacks makes the best mini popcorn (aka Pipcorn), hands down. It uses heirloom corn kernels, which are a little bit smaller than your standard popcorn. “We found the most amazing heirloom popcorn kernels around,” the founders, Jeff and Theresa Martin, wrote on their website. “They tasted better than any popcorn we’d ever had: They were crunchy, light and tasted like real corn!”

Jeff first discovered the kernels while helping move his sister into a new apartment — she had already packed everything except for some heirloom popcorn kernels she got from a health food store. The rest is history! You can find its Pipcorn at stores like Whole Foods and online. Try the classic Sea Salt Popcorn and the Truffle Popcorn, or go big and try the brand’s other crunchy snacks like cheese balls, snack crackers and corn dippers.

MUMGRY makes natural nut butter using only real, whole ingredients. In addition to smooth peanut butter, it sells pistachio chocolate almond butter (yum) and chocolate peanut butter (yum!). According to the brand’s website, MUMGRY was founded by Lilian Umurungi-Jung when she realized that there is a lack of snacks that consider the dietary restrictions and needs of of women pre-pregnancy, during pregnancy and post-partum. She was looking for a delicious snack to support her and her baby’s health.

So, three weeks after giving birth to her son Apollo, she started making her own homemade healthy snacks and after a few tasty experiments, MUMGRY was born. Try the nut butters on their own, with fruit, on a sandwich — wherever and whenever you want a simply delicious snack.

These aren’t your ordinary cookies! Gwell’s tea cookies (as well as its granola clusters and fruit and nut bites) are made with only natural, organic ingredients designed to make you feel good. All of its snacks are also gluten-, soy- and dairy-free. “We thoughtfully select our ingredients to optimize wellness benefits in under three bites,” its website says.

So, they’re delicious and efficient. In fact, gwell is the Welsh word for “better.” Founder Fawziyya Sugai left her career in fashion to start her own food brand with snacks she made for herself (and ones her family often stole). According to the brand’s site, she would use ingredients to help with issues like hormonal imbalances, skin issues, stress and restlessness. Those snacks are now part of gwell and while yes, they are tasty, you can think of them as part of your self-care routine, too. Try the Peach & Pomegranate Superfood Tea Cookies and the Gwellnola Chocolate Maca Gluten Free Granola Clusters.

If self care and wellness is kind of your thing, consider adding one or a few of Golde’s products to your routine. Golde is a Brooklyn-based wellness brand that’s known for its turmeric-based latte blends. However, the brand also sells pure matcha, superfood face masks, coconut collagen, hydration-ades and more for helping you look and feel your best. Start with a sampler of the Superfood Latte Powders or try the Pineapple Debloat-Ade.

The brand was founded by Trinity Mouzon Wofford and her partner in 2017, and since then, she’s been named to Forbes 30 under 30 list and become the youngest Black woman to launch a brand at Sephora. Wofford told INSCAPE in an interview that her mom used turmeric for its anti-inflammatory properties, and when she tried it, she noticed a big difference in her skin and immune system. “That’s where it all started!” she said.

Olive oil is more complex than you think. Like a fine bottle of wine, the good stuff will smell of olives and greenery, and cost you a little more money. However, it’s worth it for the flavors and the nutritional benefits. EXAU Olive Oil is real Calabrian olive oil harvested from the founder’s family olive trees in Italy.

While Calabria is one of the highest producers of olive oil, it’s actually hard to find in the United States. Hence why Skyler Mapes and her husband Giuseppe Morisani decided to start their own company. Today, you can order EXAU Olive Oil on the brand’s website, but pre-orders are necessary — it’s constantly selling out!

Chevalo and Monique Wilsondebriano set out to make the type of burger you dream about, and they ended up creating Charleston Gourmet Burger Company. According to the brand’s website, their marinades and sauces were originally just for their own cookouts, but when people started lining up for their burgers and the grill hit capacity, they realized they were onto something.

The Original Charleston Gourmet Burger marinade and sauce contains a blend of spices and herbs that “make a gourmet burger from the inside out.” Use it with ground beef, venison or turkey to make the juiciest, most flavorful burger you’ve ever had. You can get the marinade and the sauce as a set, or get each on their own online. However, the set is definitely the best deal, and come on – you don’t skip when it comes to the cookout!
