If you’re in the market for more Black Mirror-induced nightmares, a book series is coming soon. Because a few seasons of the skin-crawly hit television show isn’t enough, obvi. (It sounds like we’re being sarcastic, but actually, we’re pretty serious.)

It was previously announced that Charlie Brooker, the mind behind the series, would be editing a three-volume Black Mirror book series, for all your mind-bendy sci-fi needs.

The book series will be a compilation of stories of novella length, written by a series of authors. And now we know the lucky authors who will write the first volume, to be published in February 2018: New York Times bestselling author Cory Doctorow (Little Brother), Claire North (The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August), and Sylvain Neuvel (The Themis Files trilogy).

Unfortunately, we don’t have any plot details at this time.

But we do know that “each author will provide their own all-original story in the style of the show, with soon to be revealed plotlines,” according to Penguin Random House.

We’re sure that whatever they produce will be amazing and characteristically chilling. And naturally, Brooker is just as excited as we are.

“All-new Black Mirror stories from exciting authors — that’s a joyous prospect. And they’re appearing in a high-tech new format known as a ‘book.’ Apparently, you just have to glance at some sort of ‘ink code’ printed on paper and images and sounds magically appear in your head, enacting the story. Sounds far-fetched to me, but we’ll see.”

We’re really looking forward to this series, and we’re pretty bummed we have to wait until February for the first installment. On the upside, we have the new season of Black Mirror to look forward to, so that’ll definitely take the edge off!
