Birch Aquarium to host shark activities this summer

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Are you interested in one of the ocean’s top predators? Well, this July is Shark Summer at the Birch Aquarium.

Learn about how sharks play a vital role in the ecosystem, and the important conservation work and research being done to protect them on multiple dates in July.

The Birch Aquarium will offer activities for all ages such as watching shark feedings and kelp forest dives, as well as participating in trivia nights and weekend activations.

Catch these activities with the cost of general admission on July 13-14, 20-21 and 27-28 at 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Proceeds collected in the aquarium’s Galleria donation box during Shark Summer will benefit the Association of Zoos and Aquariums SAFE Sharks and Rays program.
