'BiP's Michael And Danielle Have ~Some News~ To Share At Tonight's Reunion

Season 8 of Bachelor in Paradise will air its finale and reunion on November 21, and *so* much has happened during this season. You're going to want to prep your popcorn and Twitter feed well in advance. (If you need the full lowdown, here you go.)

These reunions are always a big hit because the audience gets to see what actually happened with their fave couples, and who broke up. Luckily for everyone, the BiP reunion show was taped on November 4, so everything will likely still be accurate and fresh once it hits the air.

One couple from the show that you may be curious about is Michael Allio (who appeared on Katie Thurston's season of The Bachelorette) and Danielle Maltby (who was on Nick Viall's season of The Bachelor).

Michael, 38, and Danielle, 37, hits things off pretty quickly after Michael's split with yoga instructor Sierra Jackson, 27 (more on that in a bit).

Here's everything we know about their current relationship status, including spoilers for tonight's reunion.

Are Michael and Danielle still together after 'Bachelor in Paradise?

Yes, they are still together. The two left the beach as a couple, but did not get engaged on the November 20 episode.

What happened during this season?

Michael, or Papa Mike, as he's affectionately called by fans, first connected with Sierra Jackson. However, Michael decided to call it quits by week 2, per Us Weekly.

At the time, Michael explained to Sierra that, “the past couple of days, I’ve been taking time to enjoy where we’re at, knowing that this whole thing moves so quickly. But at the same time, things take time. I can’t put my finger on it, there’s something [missing] with us,” he said. “I know you can feel me being guarded. I don’t mean to do that. I really don’t.”

He added, "I’m trying to find a way back to happiness and the thing that scares me the most is that I’m using people that I actually care about to help me get there, and I’m hurting them along the way.... I care so much about you. I don’t want you to be one of those. I think the best thing now is just space from the romantic pressure and just be friends.”

At the time, Sierra told cameras, “I’m sad. I really, really care for him. I still do care for him. I don’t wish anything bad upon him. I have to respect what he needs because that’s what you do when you care about someone.”

Danielle arrived just before 'Split Week.'

After that sad breakup, Danielle arrived unexpectedly on the beach, and she and Michael totally hit things off. The two actually knew each other before the show, having connected on social media about their shared experiences with loss, per Hollywood Life. Michael lost his wife, Laura, to cancer in 2019, and Danielle lost her then-fiancé in 2011 to a drug overdose. Michael and Danielle's connection was "evident right off the bat."

After watching Michael's romance with Danielle unfold on-screen in October, Sierra actually took to Instagram to share her thoughts, per Us Weekly. “I hadn’t thrown shade before … but THIS is me throwing it. 😈,” Sierra wrote on Instagram on October 20. “Forward & onward now – Just wanted to get it out of my system & remind y’all I’m sweet, sour, far from perfect, and keep it real ✨.”

In a teaser for the finale, Danielle is shown crying and saying, "I know we're not ready."

While neither one gets down on a knee, they do leave the show as a couple, per Reality Steve.

They were recently spotted at Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams’ wedding.

Yup, Danielle and Michael were looked like they were having a grand old time together at BiP bartender Wells Adams and actress Sarah Hyland's wedding a few months ago in August of 2022.

Danielle is moving to Ohio to be with Michael.

Additionally, Reality Steve tweeted that during the reunion that the couple will tell everyone that Danielle is now “moving to Ohio” to be closer to Michael and his son, but that she's “getting her own place,” because “they are taking things slow.”
