Nobody is a bigger fan of Bindi Irwin than her mom, Terri Irwin. The Australia Zoo conservationist, who shares Bindi, 25, and Robert, 20, with the late Steve Irwin, wrote a moving letter about her daughter’s fabulous achievements in life — not least of all being a mom herself to daughter Grace Warrior, who turns 3 this month.

Talented Daughter

Terri shared a throwback video of Bindi and Derek Hough’s winning final dance on Season 21 of Dancing With The Stars in 2015. In the caption, she praised her daughter’s talent and personality. “I have such great admiration for @bindisueirwin,” Terri wrote. “She became the youngest performer ever to win a Daytime Emmy Award at the age of nine, won Dancing With the Stars in the U.S. at 17 even though she had never danced before, has appeared in movies, written books, and is currently the CEO @australiazoo.” How amazing is that?

She first appeared on TV as a toddler with her dad, the Crocodile Hunter. After her dad tragically died in 2006, the torch was passed to her. Bindi starred in her own show, Bindi the Jungle Girl, in 2007, where she won the Emmy. More recently, she’s appeared in animated TV series, like Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends. She voiced a character that protects oceans and the creatures within it.

“It is so important to empower the next generation to love our planet, to have that respect for all living creatures and the environment that they call home,” Irwin told PEOPLE about her guest appearance in the series. “And I think that this series does a really, really good job of introducing all those ideas.”

Last week, Bindi partnered with Bluey to read “The Creek.” She also made a cute Instagram video to teach about Blue Tongued-Lizards, where she showed the one that lives in Australia Zoo called Bluey!

“We love spotting blue tongue lizards with our beautiful daughter when we watch Bluey together 💙,” she wrote.

Wonderful Mom

In her message, Terri also touched on what a great mom and daughter Bindi is. “She is a wonderful mother, and the best, most supportive daughter,” Terri gushed. “I am so very proud to be her mum. I love my beautiful Bindi. She is the most amazing woman I know. #InternationalWomensDay

What higher praise can you get than being called a wonderful mom and amazing woman by your own mom? It’s the sweetest thing ever, and fans thought so too. “Bindi and Robert are just a reflection of the values and love that you and Steve instilled in them. You should be very proud. 🥰” one person commented.

“A strong daughter learns from her strong momma. Happy womens day to both of you beautiful ladies ❤️,” someone else said. Another commented, “I’m not crying, I’m not crying 😫😫.. it has been an honor to watch her grow up to be the incredible person she is. That you for sharing your daughter and your beautiful family with the world.”

After Bindi publicly revealed her battle with endometriosis and subsequent surgery, Terri praised her daughter on Twitter. ““I am so proud of you, @BindiIrwin,” Terri said. “You have the strength and determination of a true warrior.” She continued, “You stayed the course, and you never gave up. May women everywhere have the courage to advocate for their health & healing. You are a beacon of light for us all.”
