Bindi Irwin’s Daughter Grace Is the Shining Star of the Family in an Adorable New Group Picture

Crocodiles, wallabies, rhinoceroses, and other incredible creatures are a regular part of the Irwins’ life. They do live in the Australia Zoo, after all! But not even the cutest koala bear can hold a candle to Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell’s daughter Grace Warrior. The toddler brings an undeniable sparkle to a new family photo — and the late Steve Irwin would have been so proud.

Bindi’s brother Robert Irwin shared the picture on Instagram today, starring Grace. The toddler, who turns 3 next month, wears a khaki dress with leggings and tennis shoes in the black-and-white snapshot. She is turned to face the rest of her family, including her grandma Terri Irwin, her uncle Robert, and her parents. Although you can’t see Grace’s face, you can see how much the whole group is delighted by her. Everyone is kneeling down at Grace’s level and smiling at the little cutie.

Robert is even holding a koala — who is gazing at Grace, too! Even the animals are enamored by her.

“Grateful for you all ❤️,” the wildlife photographer captioned the photo. His sister Bindi commented, “Love you so much.”

Many other people praised this wholesome picture. “I’m telling my kids this is the royal family 😁,” one person quipped. Another wrote, “I love how all eyes are on Grace 🫶🏻”

“You can’t see him. But your dad is definitely there with you guys,” someone else commented.

Grandpa Crocodile

Although the Crocodile Hunter never got a chance to meet Grace — he died after being pierced by a stingray while filming a documentary in September 2006 — the Irwins are keeping his memory alive for her.

“We walk around every day and there’s a lot of Steve here, he’s incorporated into the signs and the videos and everything happening,” Terri told Entertainment Tonight earlier this month about her late husband. “And [Grace] calls him Grandpa Crocodile, so she spots Grandpa Crocodile and she gets so excited.” So sweet!

Bindi and Powell also make sure to include Steve in Grace’s nighttime routine. “It’s also really sweet because every night we have this bedtime routine and we have this picture of dad feeding a crocodile,” Bindi told ET. “One night we were going to bed to do our affirmations and she says, ‘Goodnight Grandpa Crocodile.’ So now every night before she goes to bed, we start our bedtime routine with saying goodnight to Grandpa Crocodile.”

“But I love that he’s still so much a part of her life, because that was so important to me that she would grow up knowing him, because it’s hard not having him around,” the Australia Zoo conservationist added. “I know he would have adored her. It’s really special now, he’s part of her everyday life. (Holding back your tears is impossible, so don’t even try.)

The Irwins are so wholesome, and they always bring a bright spot to our day. Especially sweet Grace!
