Bindi Irwin’s Daughter Grace Gives the Cutest Speech at Her First Gala

Bindi Irwin’s daughter Grace was a little star at her first gala appearance, and you can already tell she’s a natural entertainer.

The 2-and-a-half-year-old attended the Steve Irwin Gala in Brisbane earlier this month with her mom, her dad Chandler Powell, her grandma Terri Irwin, her uncle Robert Irwin, and Rorie Buckey. Grace wore a cute sparkly pink dress in photos from the event, looking like a mini Disney princess! And in a new video of the gala, Grace was absolutely adorable, with her delighted dancing and natural stage presence.

“Join us for Grace’s first ever #SteveIrwinGala raising funds and awareness for @wildlifewarriorsworldwide. Her happiness lights up the entire room! 💛” Bindi captioned the video on Instagram.

It starts with clips of Grace on the red carpet, where Bindi hugs her daughter and she smiles for the cameras. At one point, she twirls to see her pink tulle dress spin and another, she waves from her mom’s arms. She also jumps and dances while her mom cheers her on, “Go Gracie!” Whether she’s playing with kangaroos or appearing on the red carpet, nothing fazes this girl!

Later, the video cuts to the gala stage, where Robert announces Grace. “And look who it is!” he says, while Terri adds, “Oh my goodness!” Bindi, Powell, and Grace take the stage, where Grace repeats after her mom, “Hi, everybody.”

“Do you want to say something?” Bindi asks her daughter — who then leans into the microphone and says, “Crikey!” Our hearts just exploded! Her grandpa, the late Steve Irwin, would be so proud.

The clip cuts to the end, where Grace repeats after her mom, “G’day everybody, good to see you.” She’s so polite and not afraid of being on stage at all.

“This is Grace’s first gala dinner ever,” Bindi tells the audience. “Grace wore her very best sparkle dress and was very excited to see everyone because she said this was a staff meeting,” Bindi says with a laugh.

“And sometimes it can get …” she continues before Grace interrupts her. “Microphone!” the toddler says while pointing to the microphone. Bindi continues with her speech, but Grace cutely interrupts her again. She points at the crowd and says, “Staff meeting!”

“Yes, it is a staff meeting,” Bindi says, and Grace responds, “On the stage.” She is fearless, and we love it!

“She’s going to steal hearts just like you did at her age,” one person commented. Another wrote, “Steve would have loved Grace so much!!! She definitely stole the show❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.”

“She couldn’t be any cuter if she tried. She’s growing up so fast. 😍” someone else commented.

In an interview with PEOPLE earlier this year, Bindi shared, “we feel so lucky to have Grace.” She went on, “I think that every day I wake up and I look at our beautiful daughter and think she is our tiny little miracle and it makes me cry because we were very, very lucky to have her.”
