Scaly reptiles are kids’ best friends. They can’t help it — if a kid sees a lizard or catches a toad, it’ll make their whole day! And Bindi Irwin’s almost 3-year-old daughter Grace Warrior is exactly the same way. Grace cuddles with a sweet tortoise friend in a new photo with Bindi, and the look on her face is everything!

“Tortoise cuddles are the best. 🐢 #AustraliaZoo” Bindi captioned the sweet photo of the duo dressed in matching khaki and looking absolutely adorable. The Australia Zoo conservationist is kneeling down on the sun-dappled grass and helping Grace hold up a little tortoise. Bindi smiles at her daughter as Grace clutches the turtle’s shell in her tiny hands. Grace’s head is tilted up as she smiles a big, toothy grin and looks back at the reptile from the corner of her eye.

In a previous interview with Entertainment Tonight, Bindi shared that her toddler loves “an Aldabra tortoise” named Igloo. “He’s massive and the cutest. When he sees Grace, he runs across his paddock, which is huge,” she said. “If you’re a tortoise, you can’t really run very fast, but he does his best, runs across the paddock to see her and just sits. She tries to pat him, and she just ends up kind of like hitting him on the head.”

She continued, “They love each other! It’s the funniest thing you’ve ever seen. I love that my daughter’s best friend is a tortoise.”

It looks like Grace is still a tortoise lover, and it couldn’t be cuter!
