Billie Eilish’s Mom Says She Nearly Went to Therapy Over Her Justin Bieber Obsession

• Billie Eilish’s mom confirmed she nearly went to therapy over her Justin Bieber obsession.

• Billie semi-recently met Justin at Coachella and their interaction was caught on camera (scroll for the vid!).

Billie Eilish has made it clear she’s a huge fan of Justin Bieber, and apparently, her standom was so intense back in the day that her mom, Maggie, thought she might need therapy. Billie and Maggie chatted about the infatuation on Billie’s podcast me & dad radio (via the Daily Mail), with Maggie saying Billie was brought to tears by the Biebs’ “As Long as You Love Me” video when she was 10.

“[I remember] driving to the dance studio with Billie, playing this song, her sobbing, and then driving back and sobbing,” Maggie said. “And the video and Billie talking about it and being excited it was coming out and just crying and crying….I just want to say, we did consider taking you to therapy because you were in so much pain over Justin Bieber.”

But according to Billie, she was actually just processing her emotions through Justin: “There was a period where I cried every single day of my life, when I was like 13, 14, 15. Every single day, I cried,” she said. “And 17, 18, I cried barely at all. I’m proud to say I barely cry anymore and it’s one thing I’ve overcome. This is a big deal. Not that it’s wrong to cry, but it’s a good thing I feel happier in my life and I don’t want to cry anymore.”
