Billie Eilish's 2020 Grammys Performance Was the Most Raw and Emotional She's Ever Been on Stage

From Cosmopolitan

  • Billie Eilish performed at the 2020 Grammys for the first time ever.

  • She had everyone in their feelings, which seems to be a running theme with her.

We've all had "Bad Guy" by Billie Eilish on repeat for the past few months, so no judgment if your only sense of her as an artist comes from Spotify. That said, you might be missing out, since she's also a talented stage performer.

She turned the room upside down (very literally) on Saturday Night Live, and now at the 2020 Grammys, Billie continued serenading us with the lulling vocals her fans have come to know. She hit the Grammy Awards stage for the very first time, and it went exactly how you'd expect—beautifully. She sang her emotional single, "when the party's over," and probably turned a lot of her fans into crying couch potato messes. I don't know what else to say, besides...thank you Billie, I've been holding in those tears for weeks!

Before showtime, Billie was still taking the Grammy nomination news in.

"I've watched that every single year of my entire life, like judging all the girls' ugly-ass dresses," she joked to Jimmy Kimmel. "Every year my family and me, we would all sit in the living room and watch the Grammys. We never missed it. The fact that I'm the same little girl watching that in my living room, and then I'm still in that same living room being nominated for six! What is that?"

Viewers of the show seemed pretty impressed by her performance too.
