In the music video for her song "What Was I Made For?" from the Barbie soundtrack, Billie Eilish —dressed like a '50s Barbie in a blonde curly poodle ponytail!—opens a case full of Barbie-sized versions of some of her most famous outfits. But for the Grammy Awards, the singer flipped the script and wore Barbie's clothes for the red carpet ... Barbie merch re-imagined for 2024, that is.

Eilish, who is nominated for multiple awards at the 2024 ceremony, wore a black and pink varsity jacket with powder pink patterned satin sleeves and piping on the pockets, embellished with the instantly recognizable "Barbie" cursive logo and embroidered Barbie-sized pink sunglasses, a clothes hanger, and a purse. (Don't miss the adorable silver heart-shaped buttons!) According to her stylist Andrew Mukamal, who also works with Barbie herself, Margot Robbie, the jacket is a vintage piece that celeb fave Chrome Hearts reworked and updated specifically for Eilish in celebration of the beloved movie and her award-winning song. ("What Was I Made For?" snagged the trophy for Best Song Written for Visual Media before the show even began.)

Eilish wore the jacket layered over a white shirt and black tie, baggy black pants, and black shoes—a truly classic Eilish ensemble if we've ever seen one. She wore her hair down in loose waves with her scarlet red roots blazing, looking freshly touched-up against the dark black color of the rest of her hair. Though Eilish wore minimal makeup on the carpet, she did stick to a similar pink palette as her jacket, with a touch of bubblegum pink on her cheeks and a similar barely-there pink gloss on her lips.

Throughout the Barbie press run, Eilish has worn Barbiecore her way, like the vintage Gucci menswear look she chose for the Los Angeles premiere in summer 2023. It would be truly shocking to see Eilish show up in a bright pink Barbiecore gown, but it's so much fun to see her make the aesthetic part of her inimitable signature style.
