Billie Eilish Swept the Big Four Categories at Grammys 2020

"I never thought this would happen in my whole life."

Billie Eilish is now the proud owner of many, many Grammys after sweeping the 2020 awards ceremony.

Across the four main categories — best new artist, song of the year, album of the year, and record of the year — Billie took home, uh, all of them for her work on "Bad Guy" and on her debut album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? To top it all off, her brother, Finneas, won producer of the year.

The four-category sweep is, as you might guess, pretty rare. In fact, it's only happened once before, according to the Los Angeles Times, so Billie is the second person in history to win album of the year, song of the year, record of the year, and best new artist. That's not the only milestone Billie achieved. She's now the youngest person to win album of the year, breaking Taylor Swift's record when she won at age 20 for Fearless back in 2010.

Despite the acclaim she's received (and the commercial success), Billie seemed very shocked each time she came up on stage, even saying that Ariana Grande deserved a Grammy that Billie received. But Billie's fans were definitely here for her wide-reaching success at music's biggest night.

In her speech for song of the year, Billie talked about her feelings about attending her first Grammys and finding such success. "So many other songs deserve this. I'm sorry. Thank you so much," she began. "This is my first Grammys. I never thought this would happen in my whole life. I grew up watching them, and this is my brother, Finneas, and he's my best friend. I feel like I joke around a lot and I never take anything seriously at these kinds of things, but I genuinely want to say I'm so grateful and I'm so honored to be here amongst all of you."
