Billie Eilish Launches Radio Show With Father, Patrick O'Connell

Billie Eilish has teamed up with her brother Finneas on countless music projects, and now she’s joining forces with another family member: her dad.

As noted by Billboard, the “Bad Guy” singer recently talked with Apple Music's Zane Lowe where she revealed that she’ll be working with her father, Patrick O’Connell, on a brand-new Apple Music radio show. Titled me & dad radio, the series aims to explore both Billie and Patrick’s wide taste in music, and will be complete with playlists as well as “uncensored conversations” about their favorite songs and artists.

“My dad and I have been putting each other on to music since I can remember, and we want to share it with you,” Billie said during her interview with Zane Lowe. “My dad and I have had this relationship over the years of sharing music with each other. My dad has shown me some of my favorite songs in the world and I’ve shown him songs that he loves and adores also.” The first episode of me & dad radio debuted on May 8, and is available on Apple Music now — along with a curated playlist from Billie and Patrick.

A radio show isn’t the only thing Billie has been up to while practicing social distancing lately; the singer-songwriter told Lowe that she’s also been busy making new music with Finneas. After feeling uninspired for a few weeks, the siblings got down to work in the studio (AKA Finneas’s basement), and they wrote a full song together. “I really love it,” Billie said, per NME. “It was exactly what I needed to say when we wrote it. It was like I don’t know. I can’t tell time anymore. But we’ve been doing a lot of stuff. We’re trying to finish this one that I’m not going to say. Yeah, we got some stuff coming.” We officially cannot wait!
