Billie Eilish and The Neighbourhood frontman Jesse Rutherford have officially broken up.

In a statement given to Page Six, Eilish's publicist confirmed the end of the relationship. "We can confirm Billie and Jesse did split amicably and remain good friends," they shared.

The news comes after Eilish was photographed at a Met Gala afterparty getting cozy with Do Revenge's Ava Capri. However, Capri is still with longtime partner Alexis G. Zall.

Eilish and Rutherford were first seen together in the fall of 2022, with TMZ sharing photos from a dinner date in October. They made their red carpet debut as a couple at the LACMA Gala in November, posing in Gucci pjs and a matching blanket.

A couple of weeks later, Eilish spoke about their relationship in a video interview with Vanity Fair. When asked if she had a boyfriend, she confirmed she'd made things official with Rutherford. "It's really cool and I'm really excited and I'm really happy about it," she said.

Eilish added, "I managed to get my way to a point in my life. My life to a point where I not only was known by a person that I thought was the hottest f----ing f-----r alive, but pulled his ass. Are you kidding me? Can we just [do a] round of applause for me? Thank you, Jesse Rutherford, everyone. I pulled his ass. All me. I did that s--t. I locked that motherf-----r down."

The relationship was met with some criticism from fans due to the big age gap. Eilish began dating him when she was 20 years old, while Rutherford is 31. When fans began taking their disapproval of the relationship as far as commenting on Eilish's brother Finneas' TikToks, Finneas responded, "I want my sister to be happy and safe and she is a 21-year-old adult perfectly entitled to make her own life decisions."
