Billie Eilish is a multi-award winning artist and all-round phenomenon, so it's easy to forget that she's just 19 and is encountering all the challenges that lots of teenagers comes across as they try to navigate the adult world; namely, the weekly shop. In a new interview, Billie explains how she accidentally bought 70 boxes of cereal, and honestly we empathise.

This month, Billie graces the cover of Vanity Fair's March issue looking unreal as per. In the cover interview she speaks candidly about turning 19 and trying to become an adult, and how that led her to accidentally spend $35 on cereal in one go.

"I don’t know what things cost because I’ve never been an adult before. And, you know, I grew up with no money," she explained.

"It’s a really weird position I’m in. I feel kind of stupid because I’m like, I don’t know how much Froot Loops are.

"I tried to order one box of Froot Loops and I was like, 'Oh yeah, sure. It's 35 dollars (£25). I didn't know that that's expensive. I ordered 70 boxes."

Elsewhere in the interview Billie spoke about her mental health struggles and how feeling the pressure to look a certain way has seriously impacted on her psyche in the past, even causing her to experiment with diet pills at a young age.
