Billboard designed by York County student warns about the dangers of distracted driving

YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — It’s a message we can’t hear enough, and we can now see it in new place, too.

This new billboard warns about the deadly consequences of distracted driving, and the designer is a tenth-grade student. She won a York County billboard design contest, run by the Center for Traffic Safety.

“It’s very surreal,” Sadie Bradley, a sophomore at South Western High School, said. “I see it up there. I saw it on my screen a couple times, but I never really processed what it would look like, up and big. I wanted my design to be simple, because I knew that the people driving by would only see it for a couple seconds. So I wanted to make sure that they got the message in the time that they were passing.”
