With SAG-AFTRA talks suspended with the AMPTP, Jeff Nichols' first film in seven years, The Bikeriders, has joined the list of film releases delayed indefinitely.

Featuring an all-star cast that includes multiple Academy Award nominees, including Austin Butler, Tom Hardy and Michael Shannon, as well as Emmy-winner Jodie Comer and BAFTA-nominee Mike Faist, the film could benefit massively from an awards campaign that includes all its actors.

The film initially had a release set for December 1, but with actors unable to participate in promotion and publicity throughout the strike, the studio has decided it best to postpone the release.

The Bikeriders takes place in the 1960s, where motorcycle culture is on the rise. After marrying into the club, Kathy must navigate her husband Benny's untamed nature and allegiance to the club's leader, Johnny. As the club turns more sinister, the three are forced to choose between loyalty to the Vandals or each other. It is based on the 1968 photobook from documentary photographer Danny Lyon.

With such star power, it is anticipated that the film could be in contention at this year's Academy Awards, but with its release postponed, the map of how that will happen has become slightly more obscure.
