It isn’t a Pro Tour competitor, enduro racer, or BMX rider who has MTV and other mainstream outlets talking about bike tricks recently. That honor belongs to bike ballerina Nicole Frýbortová who has gone viral for her bike skills videos—and you'd be surprised by how badass some of her moves are.

The Czech cyclist knows her sport is a bit of a niche: Cycling doesn’t get a lot of exposure, and her particular branch—dubbed Artistic Cycling—gets even less. Still, she’s been in love with it since day one, when she was 7 years old. "When I was a child, I visited a training for children in a gym,” Frýbortová says. “During the training, there was an artistic cycling demonstration and I really loved it from the first moment.” Fourteen years later, she’s hoping to represent Slovakia at the upcoming World Championships.

For artistic cycling, Frýbortová uses a fixed-gear bike without brakes. The fixed gear allows her to control speed and pedal backward while standing up. (And you thought your wheelie was impressive!)
