The Biggest Penthouse in Dubai’s History Just Listed for $164 Million
Dubai, you’ve done it again. The UAE’s most populous city just put one of the biggest, most outrageous homes in the world on the market. Naturally, it’s one of the priciest listings on the planet, too.
Asking an eye-watering AED 600 million (or roughly $164 million), the bonkers three-floor penthouse is located within Raffles The Palm Dubai Residences on the man-made island of Palm Jumeirah. According to Emerald Palace Group, the building’s developer, the approximately 77,700-square-foot behemoth—known as Super Penthouse R—has set a new record as the largest private residence in Dubai’s real estate history. It’s also one of the largest private homes on the planet.

“Our super-penthouse is an embodiment of architectural grandeur and exclusivity,” Seran Gheorghe, vice president of EPG and director of sales for Raffles the Palm Dubai Residences, said in a press release. “Transcending the ordinary, this remarkable penthouse seeks to provide an exceptional lifestyle that seamlessly combines elegance, convenience, and practicality.”
The uber-plush pad occupies the top three floors of the luxury resort and features dramatic 360-degree views of the Arabian Gulf and Dubai skyline. Of course, the sprawling abode has all the fancy bells and whistles anyone in the market for a $164 million penthouse might not only expect but never know they need. Among the more ordinary features are eight lavish bedrooms, an extravagant dining room for up to 20 guests, a private gym, an outdoor swimming pool, and a basketball court.
The mega-manse also has a few out-of-the-ordinary luxuries, such as an extensive wellness center that’s complete with a cryogenic chamber and a hay relaxation room where you can literally roll around in a bed full of dried grass. Other unconventional, über-luxe perks include a gourmet chef’s kitchen that’s equipped with traditional Japanese Teppanyaki grills, a swanky cigar lounge, a mini golf course that’s nestled within a meditation garden, and an indoor-outdoor movie theater. For the petrolheads, the opulent oasis in the sky has plenty of room for all your autos. In fact, there are enough dedicated parking spaces to store up to 10 vehicles at once.
