Big Oyster Brewery's new Milford restaurant is open for Memorial Day weekend

Big Oyster Brewery's second location in Milford is open just in time for Memorial Day weekend.

The 16-tap restaurant seats 400 guests, a Big Oyster Facebook post said, and features a Topgolf Swing Suite, an outdoor dining area and a playground. There's a golf theme happening: At 6152 S. Rehoboth Blvd., Big Oyster is located next door to Southern Delaware Golf Club, an 18-hole course.

"We've poured our hearts into creating this incredible space, and we're thrilled to finally share it with you," the post said. "Whether you're on your way to the beach or live down the street, our doors are open to the public!"

Big Oyster's menu is large and seafood-heavy, featuring appetizers, soups and salads, sandwiches, entrees and desserts. Most items cost between $10 and $20, while entrees cost between $20 and $30.

All sorts of beers are brewed in Lewes and Milford, from ales to stouts to sours. Big Oyster's latest beer, the 4% ABV Beach Traffic lager, is now available on tap. It "will sooth the road rage inside of you this Memorial Day weekend," another Facebook post said. Ha, ha.

Big Oyster Milford is open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. It's part of the Fins Hospitality Group, with the Lewes location on Kings Highway opening in 2015. Also under the group's umbrella are Fins' four locations at the Delaware beaches, Claws Seafood House in Rehoboth Beach and JR's Seafood Shack in Rehoboth Beach.
