Beyoncé Releases New Song “Black Parade” to Support Black-Owned Businesses

  • Proceeds from the song will benefit Black-owned small businesses.


Beyoncé has released a new song called “Black Parade” (cowritten by her husband, Jay-Z) in order to support Black-owned businesses, and you can listen Literally. Right. Now.

Beyoncé announced the song on Juneteenth, hitting Instagram and writing, “Happy Juneteenth Weekend! I hope we continue to share joy and celebrate each other, even in the midst of struggle. Please continue to remember our beauty, strength, and power. ‘BLACK PARADE’ celebrates you, your voice, and your joy and will benefit Black-owned small businesses.”

Per Beyoncé’s website, “Black Parade” benefits BeyGOOD’s Black Business Impact Fund, which is administered by the National Urban League to support Black-owned small businesses. She shared a directory of Black-owned businesses on her website (both created and curated by @ZerinaAkers with @Black.Owned.Everything), writing, “Happy Juneteenth. Being Black is your activism. Black excellence is a form of protest. Black joy is your right.”
