Beyoncé Wore Bright Purple Lipstick

There is absolutely no question that Beyoncé has often inspired our own beauty routine choices. From her memorizing hair to her Beychella makeup, the singer hasn't been afraid to change up her look and try something new. As the rest of the beauty world embraces shades of lavender for their lids, Bey has changed the game again, going with a bold and bright purple for her lips.

The singer, who just celebrated her 36th birthday, took a break from the On the Run Tour II to enjoy the sun, Vogue pointed out. In a day that included soaking up some summer fun, Beyoncé was photographed wearing a strong shade of light purple lipstick. The bright shade was more defined than a subtle lilac, proving a perfect match for her fun beach-ready fashion ensemble.

Along with rocking purple lips, Beyoncé also wore her hair down. Her curls were hiden under a wide-brimmed tropical hat, which Beyoncé had previously also donned on Instagram. Her eye makeup was hiding behind a pair of sunglasses, but the lilac lips provided us with enough makeup inspiration.

Purple might seem like a unconventional color choice, but don't let its bold hues intimidate you. As makeup artist Molly R. Stern told Teen Vogue, the unique shade is one you can have fun with. "Any [purple] shade will do as long as you’ve got your skin on point," she said. "Make sure your foundation is matched perfectly and that you have a warm glowing flush on the cheeks. That allows you to go as wild as you want on the lip."

As past celebs including Gigi Hadid and Lorde have demonstrated, there's no shortage of playful purple shades to choose from.
