Leave it to Beyoncé to serve “Alien Superstar” realness in the new promo photo for her upcoming concert movie, Renaissance: A Film by Beyonce.
On Thursday, the “Energy” singer, 42, shared the film poster on her Instagram page. In it, Beyoncé is posing with her hands crossed while wrapped in two silver arms from behind. As for the outfit, Queen Bee looks like a futuristic extraterrestrial in a metallic bodysuit, silver thigh-high boots and chrome helmet featuring two antennas to match.
In the caption, she wrote, “RENAISSANCE: A FILM BY BEYONCÉ, in theaters worldwide 12.01.”
Of course, Beyoncé’s fans (aka Beyhive) went into a complete frenzy in the comments section. One person commented, “We will be seated.” Another fan jokingly replied, “Bey, I haven’t even had my coffee yet [crying emojis].”
Earlier this month, Queen Bey released the first official trailer for her new concert movie, which is set to hit theaters in the U.S. and Mexico this coming December.
The film will feature BTS clips from the Renaissance World Tour and rare footage of the Grammy award winner with her family, including her oldest daughter Blue Ivy, 11, who joined her mom on tour this summer.
Per the movie description, Renaissance: A Film by Beyonce will center around “the journey of the ‘Renaissance’ World Tour, from its inception to the opening in Stockholm, Sweden, to the finale in Kansas City, Missouri. It is about Beyoncé’s intention, hard work, involvement in every aspect of the production, her creative mind and purpose to create her legacy, and master her craft.”
