Here on the Cosmo fashion desk, there’s very little we love more than seeing our favourite celebrities really bringing it with a totally epic look on the red carpet. Seeing two of our fave celebs both doing so on the same day, however – and delightedly posing for pics together too – has the power to completely make our day, if not week. And that’s exactly what happened last night at the premiere of Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour Concert Film in LA.
The two celebs in question? None other than Taylor Swift and Beyoncé, the latest celebrity BFF duo we never saw coming, and now can't stop obsessing over. Who knew Queen Bey was such a die-hard Swiftie? We certainly didn't...
That said, we're always here for pop icons supporting other pop icons, obvs. But the best part of the unlikely pairing, for us, was seeing their completely contrasting personal styles on show side by side.
Taylor, who is known for her super preppy style that's distinctly girly and often made up of a high-low mix of brands, was true to her signature aesthetic in a pale blue flower cut-out gown by Oscar De La Renta. The singer paired dress with a diamond tennis necklace and matching bracelet, and blue stiletto heels – giving a *seriously* modern-day Cinderella vibe, tbh.
Beyoncé, on the other hand, could not have been on a more different fashion plane, wearing a full-black, futuristic look by LaQuan Smith consisting of a jumpsuit with a custom metallic breastplate. Oh, and diamanté-encrusted reflective silver sunnies too, obvs. It's giving Matrix, if you ask us.
Here's hoping this is just the first of *many* Beyoncé and Taylor red carpet moments – and totally opposite outfit vibes.
