Beyoncé Takes the Little Black Dress to the Next Level

It takes a special occasion to bring out Beyoncè. And yesterday's party for Peter Dundas’s pop-up boutique in Los Angeles provided just such an event. A longtime fan of Dundas’s attention-grabbing sensibility—he created both her performance and red carpet looks for the Grammys last year—she arrived in the designer’s take on the little black dress. Sporting a black mini with fringe-covered sleeves and a leg-baring silhouette, she highlighted her assets and Dundas’s gift for accentuating the female form.

Her former bandmates Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland were also in attendance, turning the moment into a mini-Destiny’s Child reunion. Each member provided their own spin on Dundas’s aesthetic—Rowland opted for a strapless sequin jumpsuit; Williams sported a lace crop top and sleek pants. Beyoncé had a few sparkling accessories that made all the difference to her classic LBD, namely a silver minaudiere, bejeweled mules, and diamond chandelier earrings.
