Beyoncé shared an emotional, personal note thanking the BeyHive that will make every true fan cry

It isn’t often that we get a glimpse into Beyoncé‘s personal life, but in honor of her birthday this week, she shared a sweet, intimate message with her fans. It seems like Queen Bey is doing better than ever, and if you cry when you read this, well…don’t say we didn’t warn you.

Although it is not yet the national holiday it should be, Tuesday, September 4th was Beyoncé’s 37th birthday. She’s doesn’t usually share many personal details on social media, but thanks to an Instagram post she shared today, September 6th, we know that she appreciates everyone who wished her a happy birthday and that year 36 was one of her best ever.

In her Instagram post, Beyoncé is sitting at a table in front of a beautiful birthday cake that reads “Happy Birthday Mrs. Carter,” grinning while Jay-Z stands beside her taking a photo.

The picture is obviously gorgeous (duh, this is Beyoncé we’re talking about), but what’s even better is the caption she wrote to go along with it.

Beyoncé wrote:

“At 36,
I became a new mother of 3.
I breastfed twins.
I renewed my vows with my husband of ten years.
I came back home to the stage to do Coachella, after pregnancy.
Then my husband and I released our album together, Everything Is Love.
And we’ve been touring with our family around the world, and loving it.
This year has been monumental for me.
I thank God for everyone in my life.
Thank you for all the positivity and for the beautiful birthday wishes.
I’m looking forward to continuing to learn from my past, living in the present, and surrendering to the future.
I love you, Hive.
B”

Are you crying yet? We’re definitely crying.

It can often be really hard to know what Beyoncé is thinking since she’s such a private celebrity, and fans usually have only unconfirmed reports to go on when it comes to her personal life. So sharing her love for her Hive and the happiness that she’s experienced over the past year feels really special, because honestly, after giving us one of the most legendary musical careers ever, she deserves all that and more.

Happy belated birthday, Bey.
