Blockbuster season is upon us and no film is more anticipated than The Lion King. A star-studded live action reboot of the ‘90s Disney classic, the movie is set to break box office records when it opens next weekend. And, at the world premiere in Hollywood tonight, there was only one subject worth discussing: Beyoncé. The superstar who lends her voice to the role of Nala made a rare red carpet appearance in a custom look from Alexander McQueen. Covered in dégradé crystal and gilded embellishment, her Sarah Burton-designed tuxedo dress was a show-stopping take on movie star style.

While other guests paid homage to the film’s themes by choosing to wear animal prints or tropical patterns, Beyoncé went for sparkle to honor the fantastical side of the story. Burton’s dreamy transparent skirt was studded with reflective beads and layers of crystal jewelry and seemed culled from a fairytale—what better choice for a night dedicated to just that? Joined by daughter Blue Ivy, who wore a coordinating McQueen blazer with crystal epaulettes, and co-stars Donald Glover and Seth Rogan, Beyoncé stole the show. Who could expect anything less from music’s queen?
