Beyoncé Nods to ‘Renaissance’ With Taylor Swift at ‘Eras Tour’ Movie Premiere in LaQuan Smith Breastplate Jumpsuit at The Grove

Beyoncé made a surprising and head-turning arrival to “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” concert movie world premiere at The Grove’s AMC theater in Los Angeles on Wednesday, opting for a futuristic look that aligned with her silver “Renaissance” album theme.

The songstress, who just completed her “Renaissance World Tour” on Oct. 1, was among the A-list stars who came to support Swift’s concert movie, wearing a LaQuan Smith jumpsuit. Beyoncé’s outfit consisted of a black long-sleeve catsuit with a molded silver breastplate as its top and Naked Wolfe boots.

“This is a true image of female empowerment, which is what LaQuan Smith is all about,” Smith’s Instagram caption read regarding Swift and Beyoncé posing on the red carpet.

Beyoncé’s look was from the designer’s spring 2023 ready-to-wear-collection, which was showcased during New York Fashion Week in 2022.

“LaQuan Smith took it to the next level with his NSFW collection of hot-hued sheer silk charmeuse dresses over bare breasts; tiny triangle bikini tops and tinier thongs; ultra-high-cut thong bodysuits, and vinyl micro minis,” WWD reported on the collection.

“I’m so glad I’ll never know what my life would’ve been like without Beyonce‘s influence. The way she’s taught me and every artist out here to break rules and defy industry norms,” Swift wrote in a social media caption on Wednesday, with the post showing her and Beyoncé eating popcorn together in a movie theater.

Beyoncé has worn LaQuan Smith on many occasions, including to “The Book of Hov” exhibition event in July and on her “Renaissance World Tour.” The songstress, like Swift, is also coming out with a concert movie of her own: “Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé,” which will be released in AMC theaters on Dec. 1.

“Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” film will be released in theaters on Thursday, chronicling the singer’s widely popular tour of the same name. Coming to AMC theaters, the film has already amassed more than $100 million in advance ticket sales, marking it the highest-grossing concert film in history to date.
