  • Beyoncé hopped on a remix of Megan Thee Stallion's hit track "Savage," and all artist proceeds from the song will benefit COVID-19 relief efforts in the musicians' hometown of Houston, Texas.

  • The remix is the first news of fresh music from Beyoncé since releasing last year's The Lion King: The Gift.

Let it be know from here on out that April 29th, 2020 marks the day Beyoncé and Megan Thee Stallion reminded the world what makes a proper remix.

This afternoon, the duo released the official remix to Megan's hit track "Savage," which has grown in popularity in recent months thanks to the song's highly addictive TikTok choreography. (The rapper herself even participated in the trend.)

To no one's surprise, Beyoncé absolutely kills her feature, appearing at the top of the song, in the chorus, and another rap verse where she even shouts out her mother, Tina Lawson.

"Please don't get me hyped (I'm hyped), write my name in ice (Ice)
Can't argue with these lazy bitches, I just raised my price
I'm a boss, I'm a leader, I pull up in my two-seater
And my momma was a savage, think I got this shit from Tina"

We are not okay!

Megan announced the release of the remix with an Instagram post featuring a Houston-themed animation. The rapper also announced that the artist proceeds from the track would go towards the organization Bread of Life, which is supporting vulnerable community members in her and Beyoncé's hometown of Houston amidst the coronavirus pandemic.

"I’m literally crying 😭 being from HOUSTON MF TEXAS this shit means EVERYTHING to me !!!! SAVAGE REMIX FT THE QUEEN @BEYONCE OUT NOW!," Megan captioned her Instagram post. "All the artist proceeds of the song goes to @breadoflifehou to support our city during this pandemic! 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽 HOTTIES WE UP!"

Fans of both Megan and Beyoncé were quick to take to Twitter to express their excitement over the new track.
