Last night, Beyoncé dropped her new album, Lemonade, via HBO and full disclosure, I teared up at least four times.

Unlike her last self-titled album, Lemonade is less a series of music videos and more a visual and auditory triumph in storytelling. Beyoncé intersperses songs from the new album with the poetry of Somali-British writer Warsan Shire, a series of home videos, scenery influenced by what seems like every facet of black culture (especially Black Lives Matter), and cameos from black women from every walk of life, including Serena Williams, the mothers of Trayvon Martin, Mike Brown, and Eric Garner, Quvenzhané Wallis, Zendaya, Amandla Stenberg, model Winnie Harlow, and a number of other women who are simply trying to turn lemons into lemonade.

Viewers and listeners (the entire album is now available on Tidal) will also hear plenty of samples of great music and musicians. Her Slayness pays homage to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs breakout hit, “Maps,” samples Outkast’s “Spottieottiedopaliscious,” brings in The Weeknd and Kendrick Lamar for guest spots, and just manages to keep you both on the edge of your seat and in a crying heap on the floor. Pitchfork has the whole exhaustive list of features here.

We could go on and on about what to expect with Lemonade, but the real solution is to just go check it out for yourself. The hour-long film/music video will be rebroadcast tonight just before Game of Thrones and is available to stream on HBO whenever you want while the album is now available to stream on Tidal (no word yet on if/when it will cross over to Spotify and iTunes). Whichever platform you choose to listen to Lemonade on, prepare for a rollercoaster of Beyoncé-based emotions.
