Beyoncé Celebrated Her Birthday Early in Vintage Jean Paul Gaultier

Beyoncé’s official birthday may not be until tomorrow, but that didn’t stop the superstar from starting the celebrations early. In Philadelphia to enjoy husband Jay-Z’s Made in America festival, she took in Lizzo’s set on Sunday while wearing a piece of fashion history. With her vintage Jean Paul Gaultier lace-up blouse and green leather shorts by Estaban Cortazar, Beyoncé joined the ranks of celebrities who’ve chosen to spend summer in archival pieces from Gaultier’s ready-to-wear collections. Accessorized to the hilt with gold hoops and layers of diamond necklaces, it was a sexy and appropriately festive look for a blowout b-day weekend.

Beyoncé got into the spirit of things in style when friends surprised her backstage with a cake, singing “Happy Birthday.” Clearly enamored with the vintage find selected by her stylist, Zerina Akers, the singer updated her social media with multiple views of the outfit and her time spent at the festival. The from-head-to-fanny-pack views allowed fans to appreciate all the fashionable details while whetting their appetite for her big day tomorrow.
