Beyoncé Announces New 'Renaissance Tour' Film And Fans Are Reacting To The News: 'Getting My Ticket!'

Shortly after concluding the US leg of her highly acclaimed Renaissance World Tour, Beyoncé delighted her fans by announcing some exciting news! This week, the Grammy winner, 42, revealed that a movie showcasing her record-breaking international concert tour is set to release in December 2023.

Dubbed as Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé, the project will “accentuate the journey of ‘Renaissance World Tour,’ from its inception to the opening show in Stockholm, Sweden, to the grand finale in Kansas City, Missouri,” as written in a press release.

Naturally, fans across social media have been buzzing with anticipation since the announcement, eagerly awaiting the chance to witness the unparalleled artistry and sheer grandeur of Beyoncé’s performances (especially those who didn’t get a chance to see the tour IRL!)

 

 

 

Beyoncé Announces 'Renaissance' Tour Film And Fans Can't Contain Their Excitement

In July 2022, Beyoncé released her seventh studio album, Renaissance, and set out on this tour to promote it months later. During each performance, she treated fans to live renditions of not just the album's infectious tracks, but also her most beloved hits and cherished songs from throughout her career.

The movie's press release also noted that the film is "about Beyoncé’s intention, hard work, involvement in every aspect of the production, her creative mind and purpose to create her legacy, and master her craft." The "Cuff It" singer also unveiled a trailer for it on October 2nd, which gave her Beyhive a glimpse of what is to come.

On X (formerly Twitter), many Queen Bey fans expressed their anticipation for the Renaissance-themed flick. "WE’RE ACTUALLY GETTING A RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR MOVIE AHHHHHH?!?!?" one tweeted as another wrote: "getting my ticket!"

Someone else chimed in: "got my advanced tickets for renaissance movie!" One other commented: "got my advanced tickets for renaissance movie!" Others conveyed their thoughts on the news with heart-eyes, red hearts and fire emojis. 

In the movie trailer, Beyoncé can be heard saying: "When I am performing, I am nothing but free," over clips of her getting ready backstage. She adds: "The goal for this tour was to create a place where everyone is free and no one is judged."

On December 1st, Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé will premiere in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, with further locations to be announced.

Showings will take place on Thursdays through Sundays for a minimum of four weeks, and the film will be screened in IMAX at AMC and Dolby Cinema at AMC, as well as other designated high-end theaters.

Tickets for the upcoming film can be purchased by fans on various websites, including those for AMC Theaters and Fandango. In addition, you can score tix as well as at Cinemark, Regal, Cinepolis, and Cineplex locations.
