Nothing is ever simple in Riverdale, especially not love. And while Bughead has had it pretty easy in the past three seasons as other relationships crumble and reform around them, it seems like season four of the hit show may bring some drama to everyone's favorite couple.

The issues will come as Bughead becomes a long-distance relationship. Cole Sprouse revealed to Entertainment Tonight at Comic-Con over the weekend that Jughead will be heading to prep school in season four, and "he's only back in Riverdale on the weekends."

So, what does this mean for Bughead? According to Lili Reinhart, the "distance will probably cause some stress."

Despite the rough patch that this situation may bring, Cole isn't worried for the future of his onscreen relationship. "I think that is going to inevitably put stress on the relationship between Betty and Jughead," he said. "I think it might be a little bit tense. They might fall, turn away from each other, only to come back together way stronger. I think they're gonna be really good."

But Bughead isn't the only Riverdale relationship that might have some issues in the upcoming season. Madelaine Petsch says that, while "right now they are very happy," Cheryl and Toni may have some problems considering "Cheryl is keeping a dead body in her basement, and her girlfriend doesn't know about it."

Yeah, I could see Cheryl hanging out with Jason's rotting corpse causing concern for Toni, and as Madelaine said, "it wouldn't be Cheryl Blossom if there's not a little chaos."

Varchie stans, on the other hand, don't have much to worry about. Camila Mendes and KJ Apa revealed that the couple, who went through a lot last season, remain "pretty solid" in season four.

But that doesn't mean Reggie is going to sit on the sidelines. Camila disclosed that there will "definitely be a confrontation" between Veronica and Reggie at some point. Apparently, "Reggie has some hurt feelings" and he wants to make them known.

Of course, this relationship drama is going to occur alongside many other complicated events. The cast promises more mystery, more football, and more Chad Michael Murray in season four.
