We're approaching March which means we're all ready for winter to be over already. If the cold, bleak weather isn't affecting your mood, there's a good chance it's doing a number on your complexion. Luckily, there's an easy and affordable way to give your skin a brightening boost thanks to former Real Housewives of New York star Bethenny Frankel. The entrepreneur recently took to TikTok to rave about this $12 drugstore highlighter, calling it the "best on the market."

In a recent TikTok video, Frankel, who currently hosts the Just B podcast, raved about the Makeup Revolution Beam Bright Highlighter in Pink Seduction. After showing how pretty the highlighter looked on her skin, Frankel went on to say this highlighter was comparable to similar products from popular brands like Fenty, Charlotte Tilbury and Dior.

In addition to the Pink Seduction color that Frankel loves, the Makeup Revolution Beam Bright Highlighter is available in four other shades that complement a variety of skin tones.

While lots of people use mascara, lipstick and blush, highlighter can be a bit more intimidating. Luckily, it's easier to use than you may think and when applied in just the right spots, it can make your whole face look more luminous. If you're new to highlighter, start by lightly applying to a few key areas: just above your cheekbones, in the corners of your eyes and just above the curve of your upper lip (also known as your cupid's bow). Just a few strokes and dabs of the Makeup Revolution Beam Bright Highlighter in these three spots can help you achieve a more glowy, fresh-faced look, no matter how much sleep you got the night before or how long it's been since you've had a vacation.

Frankel is pretty resolute in her love of the Makeup Revolution Beam Bright Highlighter, but shoppers at Ulta have differing opinions. While some agree the highlighter is a great find, others say it leaves a lot to be desired.

"I love a *glowing* highlighter and this one is beautiful!" one shopper wrote in their review. "I got the lightest color and it's so shiny, close to the Rare Beauty highlighter."

Another shopper commented, "This [highlighter] is nice [and] gives more of a glowy, glazed donut type of highlight versus a glittery one. I recommend if you're a medium tone to try the rose lustre for an eye catching highlight."

On the flip side, one less-than-enthusiastic shopper wrote, "Normally Revolution can do a decent highlighter but the one I tried wasn't what I was hoping for. It did give a subtle glow, but not enough for my taste, and I can easily see it looking chalky."

The Makeup Revolution Beam Bright Highlighter has a silky texture and you can apply it with your fingers, a brush or a makeup sponge. It's designed to seamlessly blend into your skin and can be layered over other products like foundation or blush. The formula is vegan and cruelty-free.
