Bethenny Frankel’s Net Worth Has Basically Tripled Since 2019

From Women's Health

  • Bethenny Frankel left RHONY, but the self-made entrepreneur is busy with many new philanthropic ventures and a new reality series.

  • She has made millions starring on Bravo's Real Housewives of New York, Bethenny Ever After, and Bethenny & Fredrik reality TV shows.

  • Her biggest pay-day, however, comes from her Skinnygirl low-calorie alcohol brand and product spin-offs.

Bethenny Frankel has officially left the Real Housewives of New York, but she's finding plenty of new projects to fill her free time and spend her hard-earned cash (her net worth is in the millions, just FYI). Over the years, the self-made entrepreneur made her fortune through reality TV appearances, books, and her Skinnygirl business. She didn't have many funds when she first started on RHONY in 2008, but she quickly upped her reportedly $7,250 per season pay to $1 million plus. Then, she abruptly quit the show.

Now, amid the novel coronavirus pandemic, Bethenny is all about giving back and raising funds for others. She's using her new philanthropic organization, BStrong, to source personal protective equipment for frontline healthcare workers and donations for other areas in need. Bethenny shares regular updates on donations and progress via Twitter.

Meanwhile, Bethenny's got plenty of other projects in the works that will further shore up her net worth.

Bethenny is gearing up for a new HBO Max reality show.

HBO Max recently announced it greenlit The Big Shot With Bethenny. The eight-episode unscripted series will follow contestants as they compete to work for the business mogul. She told Variety: "I wanted to find my successor, and I realized that that would be an interesting show. Because the No. 1 question that I get at signings or in my messages is 'How can I work for you? I’m obsessed with working for you.'"

Bethenny was the sixth highest-paid reality TV star in 2016.

And she was the only Housewives star to make the Forbes list of top earning reality stars (sorry, Lisa Vanderpump!). In addition to Real Housewives of New York, Bethenny hopped coasts and appeared as a friend to Kyle Richards on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

She also starred in two Bravo spin-offs: Bethenny Ever After and Bethenny & Fredrik. Still, Housewives is one of her biggest pay-days, and she's referred to it as the best commercial for Skinnygirl, per BravoTV. She's also commented about her co-stars finances. "They can’t afford the lives they’re living," she told Money.

Bethenny built a Skinnygirl empire.

Bethenny started a lifestyle empire with one drink, the Skinnygirl Margarita. “If I make you a drink, I’m going to be sure it’s the best drink you’ve ever had," she told Money.

In 2011, she sold her Skinnygirl cocktail line to Beam Global for $100 million, per Money. Savvy businesswoman that she is, Bethenny retained the right to license the brand name for other products. She continues to profit from Skinnygirl spinoffs, the publication reported.

Btw, Bethenny isn't the only celeb cashing in on their own food and/or beverage line:

Bethenny has multiple multi-million-dollar companies.

Her Skinnygirl empire is so much more than margs. Her spinoffs are diversified and profitable. "I have a multi-million dollar shapewear business, a multimillion dollar microwave popcorn business with Conagra," she told Variety. "A very successful, high, high multi-millions of dollars supplement business that’s at Walgreens. So I have these businesses, some of them that have been around for a decade."

Bethenny is also a best-selling author.

Bethenny has written four New York Times best-selling books, including Naturally Thin, The Skinnygirl Dish, and A Place of Yes.

Oh, and Bethenny rakes it in with real estate.

She says she started out in a small New York apartment on the show, and my, how the times have changed. Since then, she's lived in and flipped many multi-million-dollar pads. She started out 2020 by selling a loft in SoHo for $3.65 million and her sprawling Hamptons property for $2.28 million per Town & Country.

Bethenny also sold a penthouse in Tribeca in 2016 for $6.95 million, according to Curbed. Plus, she owns another multi-million-dollar home in the Hamptons, CNBC reported.

That's a lot of big checks to add up. CelebrityNetWorth clocks Bethenny's net worth around $70 million. (Fun fact: That's almost triple her net worth in mid-2019.)
