'The Real Housewives of New York' alum opened up about living with POTS in a candid new social media post.

Bethenny Frankel is filling in her followers about her battle with a health condition that she says has gotten significantly worse since the COVID-19 pandemic hit.

In a vulnerable new Instagram post, The Real Housewives of New York alum detailed her health struggles with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), a blood circulation disorder than can cause an array of symptoms when a person stands up, including lightheadedness, dizziness, fast heart rate, fatigue and more, according to Johns Hopkins Medicine.

Frankel, 52, said she was addressing the topic in response to fans who have been saying that her face looks different recently, which she claims is a direct result of the symptoms of her disorder.

"There were some comments about my face looking different in recent videos, so here is why," the reality TV personality captioned the video, in which she described some complications of the condition.

"I'm bloated, swollen and I've gained 4 lbs in 3 days because my body is desperately hanging on to any water it can," she wrote, adding that her "serious battle with POTS" seems to be "drastically exacerbated since COVID."

"It’s certainly a condition to manage," she noted, while going on to reveal, "I suffer from chronic severe dehydration. I have always experienced extremely low blood pressure and dehydration, but it’s gotten exponentially worse. I make a tremendous effort to stay hydrated, get IV’s, and I haven’t had liquor for 6 months. I’m basically on the case."

The Skinnygirl founder—who has been enjoying the snow in Aspen, Colorado, as of late— also explained that "altitude and a dry climate (in my favorite place in the world to do my favorite sport) present additional challenges."

Before closing out the post, Frankel made a point to call out those users who questioned her appearance, writing, "PS. When you comment on someone’s physical appearance, you may not know exactly what they’re enduring personally, physically and emotionally."

But Frankel doesn't seem to be letting her health troubles get her down completely, as she later posted a follow-up post from the snowy streets of Aspen, writing, "Despite the health challenges of being in the mountains, I am so grateful to be able to experience such a beautiful place and indulge in my favorite pastime and sport-snowboarding."

"The health struggle is real, but the joy of the ride almost makes it worth it," she added.
