Bet You Didn't Know Your Starbucks Barista Can Give You Free Sriracha

This is a game. changer.

Today I learned something truly astonishing: Starbucks has quietly been giving out free packets of sriracha for the past year. All you have to do is ask for it! And now my Starbucks egg sandwiches will never be the same. Seriously, there's nothing I love more on an egg sandwich than some spicy sriracha. It's the perfect combination: The savory eggs, the sweet bread, and then that salty and spicy sriracha sauce. To me, it makes a way basic egg sandwich taste like a magical food-cart concoction. And now Starbucks—home of many fast-and-tasty egg sandwiches—is making all my sriracha dreams come true.

Starbucks introduced the sriracha packets last spring, but it seems to have gone majorly under the radar. I learned about the sriracha packets at a Starbucks food tasting, and I may have audibly gasped. I promptly went and asked a barista for some sriracha, just to make sure I wasn't being fooled. Lo and behold, I walked out of the store with three packets of the good stuff in my hand.

If you get food at Starbucks this is a game changer. Put it on your breakfast sandwich, squirt it on your lunch paninis and salads—or simply just hoard it, like I might do. The size is really great to fit in your purse, and I feel like I can now confidently say, "I got hot sauce in my bag—swag."
