The BET Awards Will Have a Special Segment Honoring Little Richard Tonight

The coronavirus pandemic has caused several of the star-studded events to be postponed. However, this Sunday, June 28 at 8 p.m. EST, the BET Awards will become one of the first major awards shows to host their festivities virtually.

Hosted by Amanda Seales, star of HBO's hit TV-show Insecure, the show will feature performances by Alicia Keys, Chloe X Halle, DaBaby, D Smoke, Kane Brown, Megan Thee Stallion, Nas, Rapsody, Roddy Ricch, SiR, Summer Walker, Usher, YG, Masego, and more. Additionally, there will be a tribute to the late Kobe Bryant by Lil Wayne and a memorial to rock & roll pioneer Little Richard by Wayne Brady. Beyoncé will receive the prestigious Humanitarian Award.

As far as awards go, Drake leads the pack of nominees with six nominations this year. Megan Thee Stallion and Roddy Ricch each have five. Beyoncé, Lizzo, Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, and DaBaby each have four.
