But, the most-worn sweaters in my wardrobe are V-neck sweaters—ya know, the ones that have a deep V in the front instead of a round neck—as they're so versatile. The material of your sweater will sorta make or break how comfortable it is. Our most-loved fabric is, of course, buttery-soft cashmere because it's not only silky soft, but it's actually super insulating without feeling heavy or thick. It comes in plenty of colors, all which unfortunately tend to sell out very fast (rightfully so!). But, the brand restocks them often, so you shouldn't have to wait long to get your hands on one.

Why we're willing to join a waitlist for this sweater? Aside from the price, we love the relaxed, slouchy fit. The deep V drop only adds to its super casual but chic look. If you want an even roomier fit, be sure to size up. In our experience, whether you opt for a size smaller or bigger than normal, this sweater has a magical way of making you look put together in a flash.

While it def doesn't need to be layered, we love throwing this over a fitted white T-shirt or wife beater to give it some depth. Plus, all the colors look stunning with jeans or a skirt in the summer. Although it's cashmere, it actually feels incredibly lightweight to the touch, so it won't make you feel constricted.

Although we chose this as our number-one pick on this list, we have one qualm: This sweater is not as soft as other cashmere options we've previously tried. It's definitely not rough, but it has a little more grit than we're used to, which is something to note.

Jackie Cotton Linen Sweater Vest

Hear me out—I know this sweater is a bit of an investment. But, I'll be the first to tell you that Rag & Bone's designs are totally worth it. This Cotton Linen sweater vest is no different, and we agree that the quality and durability of this piece is what put it high up on this list. In fact, I've had the same pullover sweater from the brand for years, and it has never pilled.

And, how cute is this style for summer? I love that it features buttons, so you can style it undone or put-together. Plus, the sleeveless design looks adorable over a cropped white tee or, as the model shows, on its own with a pair of jean shorts.

Because it's made out of cotton and linen (aka the two most breathable fabrics in the game), this sweater won't make you feel overly hot on super sunny summer days. We love that it feels breezy, especially because it has that loose, relaxed fit.

One con we do have, however, is that this vest is dry clean only, which we find to be incredibly inconvenient. Plus, we never want it to leave our closets—that's how attached we are to this vest.

Easy V-Neck Sweater

Everyone needs a cozy sweater for chillier days, and this V-neck option is my go-to. Not only is it super cozy and comfortable, it's also such a versatile option that goes with everything. I love that the fabric is ribbed, which adds a fun pop of texture, and that it has banded cuffs for a more laid-back look.

It's made out of polyester, which, unlike cotton, is super durable and extremely warm. The addition of nylon makes it super soft and cozy.

To wash it, just make sure you put it on a cold water cycle so it doesn't shrink. The fact that I can even throw it in the wash in the first place makes this sweater so much more valuable in my closet. After long subway rides or days out and about in NYC, it's nice that I can just throw it in the wash when it needs a clean, versus sending it to the dry cleaners.

Rendezvous Top

I've been seeing open-front sweaters all over the streets of NYC, and I've been convinced to purchase this one for myself. Let me tell you—it's so flattering and shows just the right amount of skin for a night out on the town.

I like to wear this sweater with high-waisted jeans, but I've seen it styled with low-waisted skirts or baggy jean shorts and cowboy boots. No matter how it's styled, it has become a closet staple this summer.

Just a note—this knit top is semi-sheer, so you might want to wear nipple covers or a full-coverage bra with it.

Striped Open-Stitch Sweater

WH executive fashion director Kristen Saldino loves this sweater for the summer, and there's no questioning why. First off, it's super versatile—she pairs it with jeans or even a jean skirt in the summer. And get this—it looks adorable over a sporty swimsuit at the beach.

Because the crochet design makes it feel a little bit thicker, we love wearing this sweater on cooler summer nights. But, it's also totes lightweight enough to wear during the day. Just imagine sporting this option while going for a leisurely bike ride to the beach or running out to grab an ice cream cone this summer.

The sizing of this sweater is also great, as it goes all the way down to size XXS and gets up to an XL. Just note: It def runs big, so size down if you don't want that super oversized look. If it were me, though, I'd size up as I like my clothes to feel super comfortable and loose. To each their own with this option!

We did notice that the colors online look a bit different than how they look in person—the darker shade is actually more of a navy blue rather that the pictured black.

Hanover Refined V-Neck Sweater

Girls on-the-go—listen up! This is the cutoff pullover for you. It can be dressed down with a pair of leggings and sneakers for the gym, but it's also totally flattering paired with boot-cut jeans and a pair of black loafers.

We love how lightweight this option is—it's super comfortable and warm, but doesn't weigh you down. Whenever I'm looking for a sweater to throw over a tee or a workout 'fit, I reach for this one every single time.

Wearing it to the gym? It's actually pretty perfect for that occasion, as it's made with sweat-wicking Thermolite fabric to keep you dry (major ups!).

If you're going for a more oversized look, you'll definitely want to size up. But, I stayed true-to-size with this one, as I wanted it to feel slightly loose and effortless but also easy to tuck into pants for a more tailored fit. It also has a longer length (upper thigh), so it's great if you want more coverage. No matter which size you are, you won't have trouble finding a right fit with this sweater, as the sizes range from XXS up to 3X.

We have noticed that this sweater isn't as durable as other options on this list, though. The seams come apart and fray pretty easily, which knocked it down a few points for us. We also wish it came in more colors, as we wear it so often.

Blaire Ribbed Wrap Cardigan

We love that this sweater has a ribbed wrap design, as it adds a touch of flare and makes it more suitable for year-round wear. I love pairing it with a long, tight skirt and boots or, like the model is wearing, with baggy trousers. Plus, the deep V design at the front makes it suitable for nighttime wear, especially when paired with low-rise bottoms.

This sweater is made from a semi-synthetic fabric called lyocell, which is kinda similar to silk, so you bet it's soft. The addition of linen in the fabric blend makes it more suitable for wear during the warmer months, as linen has a nice, cooling effect. Because this fabric is on the thinner side, it can be a bit see-through, but at least the V of this sweater is narrow enough to fit a bra underneath.

V-Neck Sweater

The most affordable option on this list, H&M's V-Neck Sweater is another everyday staple for us. Unlike the Athleta option on this list, it's slightly cropped, so it's a bit more versatile if you want to pair it with high-waisted jeans or leggings.

It comes in a soft knit, ribbed fabric with balloon sleeves, so it's a bit fancier if you want to wear it on a night out. Another way we love to style this option? Over a collard shirt for a more business-casual vibe. It comes in the classic white and black, but we wish it came in a few other shades.

V-Neck Ultra-Fine Merino Wool Sweater

Lilysilk is a bit of a lesser-known brand, but I'll be the first to tell you that its pieces are worth the price. The brand offers many cashmere pieces online, which I also own and love, but this 100-percent Merino Wool Sweater has newly become a favorite because it has a slightly lower density. Plus, it's made with gentle, soft fibers, so it's extremely cozy.

This sweater feels and looks exactly like silk, so it may regulate temperature (yes to that!), neutralize odors, and feel super breathable and light.

And, it's one of the only options on this list with a wide V neckline, which shows off more chest for a hot look. However, I often pair it with a white tee when I'm going for a more full-coverage office look.

Our one and only note? We wish it came in more colors.

Ribbed Cropped Cardigan

Everyone, and I mean everyone, needs a cropped sweater in their life, and this one from Dynamite is worth a buy. The brand has what feels like a million different types of clothing, but I can vouch for the comfort and trendy styles of its sweaters (and its jeans if you're in the market!). This one in particular has such an adorable button-up style, and I love the moss green colorway.

It def traps the heat on a warm summer day, as it's made of polyester, but the addition of cotton makes it a bit breezier, which we love. Another pro? It runs true-to-size, which makes shopping it online much easier. But you can easily size up for a more relaxed look.

We found that the more we wear this sweater, the comfier it feels, which explains why it's on constant rotation in our wardrobe. Plus, it's not too cropped, so it hits right above the belly button, keeping it appropriate paired with high-waisted jeans, but sexier paired with low-rise pants.
