The Best Twitter Reactions to Brienne's Huge 'Game of Thrones' Moment

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH so in case you missed Game of Thrones tonight (just kidding, I know you watched it and are watching it again as we speak), Sansa and Daenerys had a face-off, Jaime and Bran had a li'l tete-a-tete (Bran's not mad), Daenerys found out she was screwing her nephew/that he might take her job, yada yada.

That was all window-dressing. The real big moment was that Brienne of Tarth finally received an honor she's been yearning for all along: being knighted. Not only was she anointed a protector of the realm, but the title was bestowed upon her by the man she loves most in the world (the only man she loves?): Ser Jaime Lannister.

Jaime kind of owed her a solid. When he arrived at Winterfell, he was received pretty frostily-since he killed Dany's father and, as Sansa said, basically ruined the Starks (not to mention having pushed Bran out a window), that's not a huge surprise. But what was surprising was Brienne taking a stand to vouch for Jaime. Sansa, who would trust Brienne with her life, was sold on it. Jon was sold on it. Dany didn't have much of a choice. So Jaime was allowed to join the fight for Winterfell.

He showed his gratitude at a little fireside gathering later with Tyrion, Davos, Tormund, and co. in attendance. It was a moving scene that hit everyone right in the does-that-mean-you're-going-to-die-soon feels.
